PROFESSOR W. T. KEETON

His death in August 1980, at such an early age, leaves a great void in the
field of animal navigation. Without his revolutionary work showing a role
for the magnetic sense in pigeon navigation, the stage would not have been
set for the parallel discovery of a similar sense in Man.
